The Art of the Business Plan
This one-day seminar covers the basics of creating
and tracking the performance of an effective business plan,
and helps identify what to do when problems occur or things
change in an organization. The luncheon session will cover how
to build e-business practices into your business plan.
Bruce
Acton, President of Acton Consulting Ltd, will lead the seminar.
Bruce's areas of expertise and experience include Quality Management,
Business Process Re-engineering, Information Systems projects,
Activity Based Costing and Performance Measurement. Bruce has
taught courses for several professional accounting bodies, and
at both undergraduate and graduate levels for universities across
Canada.
The
luncheon speaker, Trevor Poapst leads The Business Link's E-Future
Centre, an award-winning e-business information centre for Alberta's
entrepreneurs. The E-Future Centre provides personal service,
a resource-packed web site, along with a bi-monthly E-Business
Bulletin, seminars and training, and regional support through
11 Alberta Mini E-Future Centres.
In response to industry demand, this seminar is being offered
as part of the "Innovation Series" of seminars that facilitates
increased commercialization and reception to new technology
by Alberta firms.
