Project: Paleo-environmental records of climate change
Activity: Critical process thresholds from past climate changes

This information represents activities in the Earth Sciences Sector Programs (2002-2006). Please refer to Priorities for information on current Earth Sciences Sector Programs.

The research will provide paleoclimatic data for validating a model of Great Lakes hydrology in support of planning and policy work by the International Joint Commission. It will also provide regional assessment of impacts of past droughts for use as potential future scenarios; a chronology of eolian activity in the Yukon; and paleo-wind, paleoenvironmental and paleo-drought data in the prairies for regional time-slice reconstruction summaries.
