What's New

New look – Our Program section

We have just introduced new changes to the “Our Program” section of our website. This new look was created as a result of focus groups, comments from students, student groups, educational institutions and staff. The changes are intended to help you locate the information you need more easily. Thanks everyone for your input!

Millennium Manitoba Opportunity Grants (NEW)

Manitoba is pleased to introduce new grants for dependents students from low-income families and for independent aboriginal students.

for Dependent Students From Low-Income Families

The Government of Manitoba and the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation provide this grant for dependent full-time students in the first year of post-secondary studies. This grant provides up to 50% of the student’s tuition, up to $3,000. Students are automatically considered for this assistance when they apply for Manitoba Student Aid.

for Independent Aboriginal Students

The Government of Manitoba and the Canada Millennium Scholarship Foundation provide this grant for independent aboriginal students in the first year of a multi-year post-secondary educational program. This grant covers tuition costs up to $4,000 or assessed need, whichever is less. Students are automatically considered for this assistance when they apply for Manitoba Student Aid and self-identify as an aboriginal student.
