Emergency Plans in Manitoba
Recent amendments to The Emergency Measures Act require
municipalities to complete an emergency plan that meets standards
as adopted by Manitoba EMO.
To ensure consistent province-wide standards, Manitoba EMO has
developed a 60 point checklist to evaluate plans and assist municipal
government in meeting these requirements.
Satisfactory completion of all 60 items will result in a municipal
plan meeting the minimal requirements. Completion of 10 items
from a list of 30 supplemental requirements will result in the
municipality receiving a Recognition of Excellence in Emergency
Management. |
