Qinhan Phase III Unit 1 & 2 located in Zhejiang China are powered by two CANDU 6 reactors, designed by AECL, are owned and operated by the Third Qinshan Nuclear Power Company Limited. The first two CANDU units in China were delivered four months ahead of schedule and under budget. The project holds the record for the shortest construction schedule ever accomplished for a nuclear power plant in China.

During project implementation improvements were continually introduced and many world records were set in the area of construction and commissioning. As a result, the Qinshan Phase III plant incorporates the most advanced features of any CANDU plant and achieves the highest levels of quality to date. The Qinshan Phase III project was also successful on localization and technology transfer.
