Soil and Groundwater Assessment/Management

Contaminated Sites Alberta's soil and groundwater are vital resources necessary for a healthy environment. Alberta Environment works with the public and industry to maintain these precious resources to the highest quality. We apply codes of practice, guidelines, policies, and programs to protect soil and groundwater. We also develop assessment and Assessment and Monitoring monitoring tools for restoring the quality of soil and groundwater to their full potential. Alberta Environment is committed to preserving soil and groundwater quality as the foundation for healthy and sustainable ecosystems.

Alberta Environment consults the public in the development of tools needed to achieve its soil and groundwater protection goals.  Draft documents for public review are posted from time to time as part of the consultative process.Guidelines and Codes of Practice
