Accessing the Government of Alberta just got easier

Service Alberta is about linking you to the information and services you need in a manner that best suits your schedule and lifestyle. Whether you prefer to make a phone call, drop into a government office, use fax or mail, or dial up the Internet, the goal of Service Alberta is to make that connection as convenient as possible. It will take us several years to completely reach that goal, but we've made a good start with this website and the Service Alberta call centre.

Call 310-0000 (toll-free from anywhere in Alberta)

A phone call to the Service Alberta call centre, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Monday to Friday will put you in touch with a real person. That person will either give you the information you need, or link you up to someone who can. To reach the call centre from outside Alberta, dial 1-780-427-2711. Long distance charges will apply.

This website organizes government information and services in ways that make sense to you. You don't have to know the government department. Just find the topic that applies to you, and let the website do the rest. It's available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

It's all about quality service

Service Alberta is a service improvement initiative. Every government department is committed to providing you with quality services in a way that respects your privacy rights. We're very serious about our service commitment.

Service Alberta is based on your needs and preferences

Albertans have shaped the development of Service Alberta through surveys and focus groups. You told us how you prefer to look for information on the website. You told us you still want to be able to contact government by telephone. You reminded us that a "one size fits all" approach won't work. And you told us we should take this one step at a time, learn from experience and do it right the first time. That's what we're doing.

Over the next year, we'll continue to enhance our telephone and website services for you. We'll also begin to explore ways to make your over-the-counter service experience as convenient as possible. And we'll continue to ask you for feedback and suggestions. In fact, you can give us your feedback today, through this website. Take a few minutes to ask a question, tell us how you like the site, or make suggestions for future services you'd like to see online.

Thank you for visiting the Service Alberta website.
