Canada’s SchoolNet
Canada's SchoolNet is an educational initiative supported by a variety of organizations across Canada, from government agencies, provincial, territorial, and federal, - to industry, and educational establishments and stakeholders. Through the guidance of the SchoolNet National Advisory Board, the Canadian Education Network Coalition, and strong partnerships, SchoolNet helps to facilitate excellence in learning through electronic networking across Canada.

Canadian Innovation Centre
The Canadian Innovation Centre is Canada's leading organization dedicated to assisting inventors, entrepreneurs and innovative companies. The CIC was founded in 1981 as an independent, not-for-profit corporation. To date, the Innovation Centre has assisted approximately 50, 000 innovators and formally evaluated over 11, 000 of their promising ideas. Clients range from individual inventors and entrepreneurs to large corporations. The CIC offers a wide range of consulting services to those with ideas for products, services or processes. For example, they:
  •  Assess technical strength
  •  Conduct market research
  •  Evaluate commercial potential
  •  Provide product and process engineering
  •  Deliver training, educational programs and material
  •  Promote international technologies available for license

Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO)
CIPO is responsible for the administration and processing of the greater part of Intellectual Property in Canada. CIPO's areas of activities include : Patents, Trade-marks, Copyrights, Industrial Designs and Integrated Circuit Topographies.

Canarie
Canada's advanced Internet development organization - is a not-for-profit corporation supported by its members, project partners and the Federal Government. CANARIE's mission is to accelerate Canada's advanced Internet development and use by facilitating the widespread adoption of faster, more efficient networks and by enabling the next generation of advanced products, applications and services to run on them.

Communications Research Centre (CRC)
The Communications Research Centre (CRC) as an institute of Industry Canada, is dedicated to research and development in a multidisciplinary field of communications and related technologies.

Industry Canada
Industry Canada is the federal government’s key department in charge of national economic issues. It was created to promote jobs and growth in Canada. The role of industry Canada is to create a marketplace that is efficient, supportive, fair and driven by informed consumers as well as a marketplace that will encourage Canadian businesses to take advantage of opportunities at home and abroad, and apply scientific and technological advice.

Mirarco
The Mining Innovation, Rehabilitation and Applied Research Corporation (MIRARCO), founded in 1998, is a not-for-profit applied research and technical service company formed through collaboration between Laurentian University and the private and public sectors.

National Research Council Canada (NRC)
NRC has been the principal science and technology agency of the Canadian federal government for 80 years. There are 16 research institutes across the country and through them well-positioned to foster regional economic innovation.

Northern Centre for Advanced Technology Inc. (NORCAT)
NORCAT assists in the transition of the province's mining and mineral sector and northern construction sector to a new world competitiveness which demands high quality products and processes which are unique. NORCAT provides a single access point to companies and entrepreneurs for training, technology diffusion, applied research, technology transfer and product development in partnership with industry, labour, business, government and educational institutions in Ontario.

Northwestern Ontario Technology Centre (NOTC)
The primary focus of NOTC is to provide a setting for businesses to create and expand new employment, by supporting technology based entrepreneurs. This is a developing organization that is expected to play an important role developing and expanding the value of technology information to small business in northwestern Ontario.

Northwestern Ontario Development Network
The Northwestern Ontario Development Network is a unique, non-profit, membership driven organization created and operating in Northwestern Ontario. Our membership consists primarily of Community Futures Development Corporations and economic development offices and committees from across the Northwest. Our Mission Statement reads "to be an membership driven organization serving the community development needs of the region by: 1) Being a champion of community development issues; 2) providing and internal and external information exchange between our members, government, development partners and others; and 3) being a financially sound organization.

Ontario Centre for Environmental Technology Advancement (OCETA)
OCETA is private sector, not-for-profit corporation committed to helping small and medium-sized enterprises overcome the barriers involved in the commercialization of new environmental technologies.

Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre
The Sault Ste. Marie Innovation Centre is a not-for-profit organization with a mandate to assist Sault Ste. Marie & District with economic diversification in Information Technology or knowledge based industries.

Science Entreprise Algoma
science enterprise Algoma was established to take advantage of economic development opportunities that exist in the natural resource and life science industry sectors in the Algoma Region and Northern Ontario.

The Industrial Research Assistance Program of the National Research Council (IRAP)
The Industrial Research Assistance Program (IRAP) is Canada's unique technology network. It consists of institutional members and technical advisors who combine technical advice with access to financial and technical information resources. IRAP is an integral part of NRC s mandate to support the improved industrial competitiveness of Canada and to enhance the socio-economic well being of Canadians.

ULERN is a not-for-profit organization with a focus on environmental and natural resource research.
