SUBJECT: AREA CONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF A PROPOSED NEW ESTABLISHMENT LOCATED AT <Legal establishment address>, <City>, <Province>

This is to acknowledge the receipt of your application of <date on original application form>, along with accompanying correspondence and plans concerning the above project.

The plans have been reviewed and in the opinion of this office, construction in accordance with the plans should result in compliance with section 28 of the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990. The plans are being given Area conditional acceptance with the conditions listed in the attachment to this letter.

Area acceptance of the plans does not necessarily imply compliance with other pertinent legislations, either Canadian or applicable foreign legislations. Compliance with all legislations is the responsibility of the applicant. Acceptability of the establishment for registration under the Meat Inspection Act will depend on construction, maintenance and operation of the establishment in compliance with the Meat Inspection Regulations, 1990.

The accepted and stamped complete set of plans is being returned to you. These plans must be retained on file and be made available to the CFIA upon request. The original application forms, a stamped copy of the "Site Plan", and a copy of this letter are being forwarded to Ottawa in order to advise our National Headquarters of the Area acceptance of plans for a new establishment. The copy of the "Site Plan" will be retained on file in Ottawa.

In case this project does not result in registration of the establishment within two (2) years from the date indicated on the CFIA acceptance stamp on the plans, the acceptance of these plans will be cancelled.
