New Surcharge Details (effective January 15, 2007)
As communicated to Canada Post commercial customers in July 2006, "Effective January 15, 2007, there will be a change to the surcharge price structure to replace the existing Business Reply Mail (BRM) Out of Spec surcharges.
New BRM Plastic Commercial Envelopes!
Canada Post has introduced specifications for approved BRM plastic commercial envelopes to give Domestic BRM customers and their recipients greater flexibility. These envelopes provide you options for receiving paper contents and other items-such as Ink Jet cartridges or film-as part of your mail response from recipients.
How the process works:
- Obtain a copy of the Canada Post-approved BRM plastic commercial envelope manufacturing specifications.
- Select a supplier, who can produce the plastic commercial envelopes that meet the Canada Post-approved manufacturing specifications.
- Submit physical samples to Canada Post's Mail Standards and Testing Group to ensure the plastic commercial envelopes and intended contents qualify for the Domestic Business Reply Mail service.
