2000-13 Rates set for access to telephone companies' support structures. File Nos.: Stentor TN 485; BC TEL TN 3637; Bell TN 6022; NBTel TN 647; MTS TNs 244 and 278; TCI TN 926; TCEI TNs 15 and 55; Québec-Téléphone TN 170; and Télébec TN 126. This order provides for national rates, terms and conditions for access to incumbent telephone companies' poles and conduit by cable companies and telecommunications carriers. The CRTC also rules on issues of support structure capacity, application of construction standards, and the access approval process. This order follows previous Commission rulings made in Telecom Decision CRTC 95-13 and Telecom Order CRTC 96-1484. It also results from the Commission's consideration of the Joint Report presented to the Commission on 17 April 1997 by the incumbent telephone companies, the Canadian Cable Television Association and the Competitive Telecommunications Association. The report is the product of the participants' consultations on contentious issues mandated by the Commission in Order 96-1484.

2000-161 Cochrane. TN 22. The Commission approves the company’s request for new rates to reflect its purchase of Northern Telephone Limited’s Cochrane area customer base. This order provides final rates for the incumbent telephone companies' exchange of subscriber listings with new local competitive telephone companies. The exchange of subscriber listings will allow all local telephone companies to provide telephone books and/or directory assistance service. This order also denies access to the BLIF service by wireless, toll or operator services companies.

2000-208 Commission denies MetroNet Communications Group's request to modify the imputation test. Reference:  8622-M15-05/99. The Commission denies AT&T Canada's (formerly MetroNet Communications Group Inc.'s) application, which sought changes to the pricing test applied to the local services provided by the telephone companies to prevent anti-competitive pricing. Under AT&T Canada's proposal, new rates for local services in urban areas would have to exceed a price floor established using the same pricing rules that currently apply to local service rates in rural areas. The Commission concludes that AT&T Canada's application seeks to review and vary Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, but it has not seen sufficient evidence to amend that decision.
