The Government of Quebec has stated that it agrees with the general principles of the National Child Benefit (NCB). Quebec chose not to participate in the NCB because it wanted to assume control over income support for children in Quebec; however, it has adopted a similar approach. Like other Canadians, Quebecers have access to the Canada Child Tax Benefit. They also benefit from the considerable investments and reinvestments made by the Government of Quebec, under its family policy, to provide services for families and children.
