Productivity accounts

The Canadian productivity accounts produce data on productivity and related measures consistent with the System of National Economic Accounts and disseminate research products on a number of topics related to productivity and economic performance. The Canadian productivity accounts comprise three programs, each of which has a different set of objectives. The quarterly program provides current measures of labour productivity and labour costs for the aggregate business sector and its fifteen major industry groupings at the national level. The annual program provides measures of labour productivity, multifactor productivity and related variables for the aggregate business sector and its major groups and industries at the national level. The provincial program produces measures of employment, hours worked, labour productivity and labour costs at the industry level for each province and territory. See about the productivity accounts.
