Wise Up - Alcohol + Winter Sports Don't Mix

In winter, many of us celebrate the season by enjoying outdoor activities and winter sports such as hockey, skiing and snowboarding. Physical activity is especiallly appealing during these months and is encouraged to help lift our spirits and keep our bodies active.
During January and February, signs in BC Liquor Stores remind customers to play safely and to avoid consuming alcohol during outdoor activities. Alcohol and outdoor activities are a dangerous combination, as alcohol slows down reaction times, increases body heat loss and reduces endurance. If you take your sport seriously, you need to "Wise Up" to the effects of alcohol.
Please play safely and enjoy the winter season.
