| Submission of Final Proposals for Applied Research Grants within WaDImena |

Research teams of the selected pre-proposals have submitted their proposals for research grants on September 15, 2005. These proposals have been meticulously reviewed by experts in the areas of Social and Gender Analysis, Participatory Research, Monitoring/Evaluation and Dissemination. The research teams from Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia have attended the WaDImena Developing Research Capacity Workshop on December 3-9, 2005 in Marrakech. The research team members, together with the group of experts and the WaDImena team, have worked together for six days to strenghten and improve their proposals. They will submit the final proposals by January 15, 2005. The WaDImena Developing Research Capacity Workshop will be held for research teams from the countries of Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Yemen on January 22-28, 2006 in Amman, Jordan.
