| Hello! My name is Nel and I'm a Canadian mare. Two hundred and fifty years ago, you would have found a horse like me on nearly all the farms in this country where we were used for clearance work, cultivation, transportation and saddling. Times have changed and there are few of us now - our future is uncertain. Meanwhile, the Canadian horse is still recognized as the most rustic, robust and best acclimatized in Canada. |
