As of October 31, 2006, this geographical name query tool will no longer be available. It has been in service for twelve years, and is due for an upgrade. Over the coming months this query will be phased out, and in November, it will be replaced by the Geographical Names Search Service (GNSS), a new query using newer technology. The GNSS search provides faster results, and more flexibility in the queries which can be done.
