Weather

Nova Scotia has adopted the Metric system so weather reports are provided in Celsius measurements. To convert reports from Celsius to approximate Fahrenheit equivalents multiply by 2 and add 30.

Summer temperatures range from 20-25 degrees Celsius. Temperatures in the spring and fall may drop 10 degrees and the winter generally hovers around 0 degrees or lower. Inland temperatures are typically 5 degrees higher than coastal areas, which are cooled by breezes from the Atlantic Ocean.

Current weather forecasts are available from Environment Canada Weather Centre at (902) 426-9090 or www.ns.ec.gc.ca.
