Gallery 6 shows the latest in Canadian currency, including
the newest Bank of Canada notes. Issuing currency is one of
the functions of the Bank of Canada that is treated in this
gallery. One can also see an authentic geometric lathe used
to create the complex patterns on older notes, as well as
a replica of an engraver's work area complete with tools,
plates, and proofs. Finally, a small display explains the
process for minting coins at the Royal Canadian Mint. |
