A portrait of the artist as a young man. Adrian Anantawan was one of seven young musicians from Toronto selected to participate in the National Arts Centre’s 2006 Summer Music Institute – a program that brings together some of the world’s most promising classical performers, composers and conductors. Adrian’s innate musical talent is enhanced by his upbeat attitude; he has overcome enormous physical limitations and is engaged in his art with a zest that inspires instructors, peers and audiences alike. The Summer Music Institute and the tutelage of Music Director Pinchas Zukerman provided the perfect creative outlet for Adrian’s talents. The National Arts Centre is proud to have played a part in the development of this gifted young artist – another reason why we truly are Canada’s National Arts Centre.
