Hello,
I'm sending this message from Chinook Park Elementary School, where my youngest daughter is in Grade 6 this year.  They're having a holiday celebration tonight with lots of different activities, one of which is a chance for the kids and their parents to send messages to some of our troops.
I just wanted to say hello and to wish you a peaceful holiday season.  I know that may be a somewhat impossible idea where you are now, but one can always hope.
We truly appreciate your service and your sacrifice.  My daughters and I are both hoping that you will soon be home and safe, but we also understand that you have important work to do while you're there.
Take care, stay safe, and come home soon.
