Educational Tour

What better place to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Governor General than Rideau Hall. For students and teachers, we offer tours of the residence that are interesting and exciting. In one of Canada's most historic buildings, our guides offer an educational tour that will give students insights into the important role of the Governor General in our political system and society.

We ask that school groups make reservations by calling (613) 991-4422 or 1 866 842-4422, by fax at (613) 993-1656 or by e-mail at guide@gg.ca.

Teacher’s Kit

Teachers of grades 5 to 8 (Secondary 2) will be very interested in this essential tool, called the Teacher’s Kit, which will help prepare their students for the visit to Rideau Hall. This kit includes a complete guide for the teacher and a series of learning cards for the students. The information can also be used in class after the visit.
