Provincial and Federal Electoral Districts Polling Divisions Comparison Chart

In the province of Prince Edward Island, Elections P.E.I. and Elections Canada cooperatively share common polling division boundaries.  Elections P.E.I. has prepared a polling division comparison chart matching the provincial and federal polling divisions for the federal electoral districts of Cardigan, Charlottetown, Malpeque and Egmont.

Returning Officers Appointed

On March 20, 2007 the Lieutenant Governor in Council appointed 27 new district Returning Officers. These Returning Officers are for the Proposed New Electoral Districts that will come into force with the passing of an Order in Council fixing the date of the issue of the Writs of Election and Ordinary Polling Day. An explanation of the role they play in the electoral process is available.

Elector Count in Electoral Districts

Elections PEI has produced a count of electors in each of the electoral districts outlined in Bill No. 49 - An Act to Amend the Electoral Boundaries Act. Detailed information on this process is now available, along with the actual count of electors in each district.
