The Reference Map, also know as the key map, is located directly below the Main Map Area. The Reference Map displays the area visible on the Main Map View, using a red box or cross hair.

The Reference Map can also be used as a navigation tool. Clicking on it will shift the Main Map View to be centered on that point without changing scale.
