Account Executive

The Post-Contract (Client Group A) Account Executive is responsible for the management of complex and/or sensitive export contracts between a wide range of Canadian exporters of goods and services and foreign governments, international agencies and foreign private sector buyers. The Account Executive is also responsible for all related financial arrangements.

Your Challenge:

  • Promote and market CCC products/services/programs to foreign customers and Canadian exporters and provide expert advice and guidance to Canadian firms in contract management and contract financial administration.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relations with senior representatives of domestic and foreign governments, international agencies, foreign private sector buyers, financial institutions and other Canadian departments/agencies.
  • Manage complex export contracts and related complex financial arrangements, from contract award to delivery of goods and services, final payment and through the warranty period to ensure conformity with contract terms and conditions and to protect the contractual and financial interest of the CCC, the Canadian exporter and the foreign buyer.
  • Proactively monitor the performance/obligations of both the Canadian exporter and foreign buyer. Seek solutions to contract disputes between Canadian exporters and buyers, and resolve problems, which may affect the successful completion of the contract.
  • Undertake appropriate action to protect the Corporation and the foreign buyer in cases of exporter bankruptcy or defaulted contracts.
  • Manage the payment process including the resolution of billing and collection issues. Oversee the status of financial administration by those with primary responsibility for these project activities.
  • Initiate, organize and chair production progress meetings, liaise with inspection authorities, or any authorities or interested parties, to ensure that production activities are on track and that product delivery, or project milestones are on schedule.

Your Qualifications:

  • Completion of a University degree in commerce, business administration, finance or a related discipline. Post-graduate education or training would be an asset. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight to ten years related work experience in defence / aerospace or defence contracting
  • Knowledge and understanding of the CCC business context and operations
  • Previous supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Experience in defence project management as well as in project risk assessment and management/ mitigation, contract management, and contract financial administration
  • Experience in handling export contracting transactions with foreign governments, international agencies and foreign private sector buyers
  • Knowledge of programs and services of CCC and of related CCC and central agency policies and procedures applicable to export contacting would be an asset
  • Strong leadership abilities
  • Strong oral and written presentation skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain business relationships
  • Willingness to travel in Canada and abroad

ERP Project Manager

Your Challenge:

As the ERP Project Manager, you will work closely with the Business Process Improvement (BPI) and IT teams in making decisions about corporate business application selection, development and support within CCC. Your challenges will include: organizing and leading a cross-functional team, managing all aspects of the ERP project, developing work plans, managing deadlines, directing and reviewing written requirements and specifications, mapping conceptual requirements, and organizing and delivering presentations and briefings to management and suppliers. As both a technical and business application resource for the software renewal project, the ERP Project Manager will exercise a high degree of independence and autonomy in setting the direction for application deployment and overseeing implementation of the ERP project. Your strong client focus will come through as you consult at all levels of the organization to establish the requirements and maintain effective written and verbal communications through a range of situations. To succeed, you will balance strong leadership and project management capabilities, specifically on ERP Implementations.

Your Qualifications:

You have a University Degree in Computer Science or a related field with at least five years experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Your experience includes 5 years directly related work experience involving progressively more challenging roles and responsibilities within the ERP applications deployment and project leadership. Knowledge of: Business Process ReEngineering (BPR) tools and framework; ERP project management practices and leadership techniques; change management processes of ERP implementations; Applications development life-cycle concepts within IT (ie AIM, CDM, Rational UML, Use Case); technology infrastructure required to support ERP business applications; working knowledge of Oracle ERP applications and/or implementations; different tools of requirements gathering; interviewing, data modelling, business process modelling, business object modelling and user interface design; the mandate, programs and services of CCC.

The position will be for a duration of 12 months (renewable to completion of the ERP project implementation).

English essential. Bilingualism is an asset.

Executive Assistant

We are looking for a highly motivated and independent Executive Assistant responsible for performing a full range of administrative functions and services for the office of the Vice-President of International Development Branch If you are looking for new challenges in a high paced environment, we invite you to join the CCC team.

You will be expected to research and prepare a variety of written materials and control the quality of correspondence. You will also be responsible for coordinating the workflow of the Vice President. You will develop and maintain a thorough understanding and awareness of the on-going activities in the Division business units. Your involvement within the Vice-President’s office and the Division will be far reaching: coordinating logistics, setting travel itineraries, preparing contracts, coordinating business meetings, organizing background information, maintaining meeting files, providing follow up on items to be competed, all in accordance with established protocols and timelines.

Your Qualifications:

You are an independent worker who thrives in a busy environment. You are fluently bilingual and have a high school diploma and some related post-secondary education. You are a proven multi-tasker and are ready to take on new challenges. You have at least three years of experience in the general administration of an executive office and the management of files or varied, concurrent activities. You are an effective communicator and are adept at negotiating and reconciling differing viewpoints. You work comfortably as part of a team with individuals of various levels and backgrounds.

Senior Project Manager

Branch: Aerospace, Defence & Security
Unit: Pre-Contract
Sub Unit: Non-U.S.

The Pre-Contract (Non-U.S.) Senior Project Manager provides business development and contracting services related to the sale of goods and services in international markets, in support of CCC’s role as an export-facilitating agency on behalf of Canadian suppliers.

Your Challenge:

  • Contribute specialized business development and contracting expertise to the identification of new opportunities for sale of Canadian goods and service in foreign markets
  • Provide recommendations for file certification and assistance to new clients regarding PWGSC and the certification process
  • Negotiate and process contracts to ensure supplier and customer satisfaction and to minimize risk to the Corporation
  • Apply analytical and management skills to the assessment/mitigation of risks for complex export projects
  • Maintain effective business relations with officials of foreign public and private sector buyers, Canadian federal and provincial departments and agencies, financial institutions, and the Canadian private sector

Your Qualifications:

  • Completion of a University degree in business administration, engineering, or a related discipline - or an equivalent combination of education or experience
  • Six years related work experience in defence / aerospace or defence contracting
  • Official Language Proficiency: Bilingualism is an asset
