Now you can access important information and government services with a few swift clicks of a mouse.

Whether you need to replace your birth certificate, research Freedom of Information and Privacy laws in Ontario or protect your rights as a consumer, the Ministry of Government Services has what you're looking for.

Protecting Consumers -- information you need to protect your rights, and to inform you of your responsibilities as a consumer.

Births, Deaths and Marriages -- the Office of the Registrar General of Ontario maintains records and issue certificates for major life events, such as births, deaths and marriages.

Life Event Bundles -- information on a particular situation is gathered from different levels of government and provincial ministries on one website.

E-complaint -- submit a consumer complaint online.

Identity Theft -- learn how to protect your identity.

Government Information Centres -- located in more than 50 locations in communities around Ontario to make it easier for you to get the government information you need.

Access Now -- register a lien on personal property (e.g. cars, boats, furniture) that was used as collateral to obtain a loan or that was repaired or stored. Or make inquiries to find out if a lien was filed in the Personal Property Security Registration system.

Land Registration Information -- the Real Propery Registration Branch operates 54 Land Registry offices throughout Ontario.

Ontario Business Connects (OBC) -- the government's initiative to simplify and streamline registration, renewal and reporting processes for Ontario businesses.

  • Register/Renew service -- register or renew a business name with the Ontario government. You can also apply for the following programs: Retail Sales Tax Vendor Permit (RST), Employer Health Tax (EHT), Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB).
  • Change of Business Information service -- Existing businesses can update address and other important business information as well as close accounts with several Ontario and federal government programs free of charge.
  • MyBIS -- Subscribe to an e-mail service to receive customized links to business information based on your interests

Company Forms -- online access to business registration and incorporation forms and much more.

E-Laws website -- online access to Ontario statutes and regulations.

Access and Privacy Office -- this office advises the government on issues pertaining to freedom of information and privacy legislation, and develops related policy.

Official Document Service -- issues certificates of appointment for notaries public and commissioners of oaths, and certificates of authentication for official documents issued in Ontario.

Government of Ontario Forms -- access to hundreds of Ontario Government forms that may be viewed, filled in, printed, sent by regular mail or submitted online.
