Registration

Participation in the 29th International Conference of Data Protection and Privacy Commissioners is open to all persons interested in exploring the issues of data protection and privacy. All persons intending to attend the Conference must complete a Registration Form and return it to the Conference Secretariat. Please note that when you register on-line, you will receive two confirmation e-mails: one acknowledging your registration and a second confirming your credit card transaction.

Submission of more than one registration may result in duplicate registrations and duplicate billing. Please only register once.  Telephone and e-mail registrations will not be accepted. Full registration entitles delegates to the following:

Please Note:  A registration category excluding admission to the Soirée (reception and dinner) at the Chalet du Mont Royal (Wednesday, September 26) is also available.  Tickets to the Soirée may be purchased separately and are limited in quantity.  Reserve yours now.

Payment of Fees
The registration fees (early, regular, late) correspond to the date on which payment is received and not the date the registration form is received. Registrations will not be processed or confirmed until payment in full is received.

Method of Payment
Depending on how you register for the Conference, payment of registration fees can be made in Canadian dollars, US dollars, or Euros and can be made by credit card, cheque, money order, bank draft or wire transfer.

Credit Card
American Express, MasterCard and VISA are the credit cards accepted by the Conference.  Payment by credit card, including Internet registrations, will be processed in Canadian dollars regardless of currency selected (Canadian, US or Euros) and will be reported on your statement in your local currency at the exchange rate of the transaction date.
 
Cheque
Payment can be made in Canadian dollars only, drawn on a Canadian bank. Payment must be made payable to “Privacy Conference 2007”.

Money Order or Bank Draft
Payment will be accepted in Canadian dollars, US dollars and Euros and must be negotiable in Canada.  Payment must be made payable to “Privacy Conference 2007”.

Wire Transfer
Payment will be accepted in Canadian dollars, US dollars and Euros.   If the method of payment is not acceptable by a Canadian institution, it will be returned to the sender.

Bank Charges
Please note that all bank charges incurred in sending funds are the responsibility of the sender and will not be paid by the Conference.

Acknowledgements
The Conference Secretariat will send via e-mail, fax or mail a confirmation of Conference Registration and acknowledgement of payment once full payment has been received and processed.

Internet registrations with credit card payments are processed and confirmed immediately by e-mail.

If you select the option: "No, I do not wish to receive regular updates or additional information about the conference by e-mail" or you do not provide a functional e-mail address, you will not receive further information on the Conference, but there will be regular updates available on the Conference Web site (www.privacyconference2007.gc.ca).

Your registration will not be processed or confirmed if full payment does not accompany your registration form.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
All cancellations for a conference registration, social activity or tour must be made in writing to the Conference Secretariat.

  After September 1 No refund
2. Social Fees and Tours
  Prior to August 31 Full refund
  After September 1 No refund

Substitutions
You may make a substitution at any time without penalty upon written notice to the Conference Secretariat.
