The Crew

The managing crew of the travelling honours exhibit at the entryway of the exhibit

Anthony, Tour Operator

Born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, Anthony has lived and worked across the country, from serving in the Navy in Halifax, Nova Scotia, to gaining experience in marketing and sales in Prince Albert, British Columbia. Most recently, he has spent the past seven years working in the oil patch in Alberta. Anthony is excited about the opportunity to travel across the country with the National Honours Travelling Exhibit while spreading the word about the Canadian Honours System to Canadians in all walks of life, especially in some of the smaller communities across Canada.

Katie, Program Manager

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Katie has a Master’s degree in International Development and Global Studies from the University of Ottawa. She lived in Taiwan for five years, where she taught English and undertook graduate-level field research in the Filipino migrant worker community. Prior to working with the National Honours Travelling Exhibit, she worked as a public affairs, communications and research consultant at the Global Centre for Pluralism, a new international research and education centre that advances respect for diversity worldwide. As someone who loves to travel and meet new people, Katie is excited to meet Canadians from across the country and share with them the stories of ordinary Canadians who have accomplished extraordinary things.

Sean, Road Manager

Originally from Ottawa, Ontario, Sean has a Master’s degree in political science from Queen’s University. He recently completed the Parliamentary Internship Programme, working for both Marc Garneau, Member of Parliament for Westmount–Ville-Marie; and Ed Holder, Member of Parliament for London West. Before this, he was a Tour Guide at Rideau Hall, gaining valuable knowledge and experience for the National Honours Travelling Exhibit. He is looking forward to learning more about Canada and to sharing the stories of the remarkable Canadians who are recognized through the Canadian Honours System.
