Instructions - How to Use

Minimum Requirements

• Requires Adobe Acrobat Reader
  • If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here.
  • When asked if you would like to Open or Save this program, choose Open.
  • Follow the Adobe setup instructions.

Navigation Tools

• To navigate between pages click on the Hand Tool in the task bar at the top of the page. As the Hand Tool moves over the hyperlinked phrase or page number, the Hand Tool changes shape and points to activate the hyperlink.
• The Arrows in the task bar assist the viewer to easily move back and forth between the pages.
• To increase the size of the typeface use the Zoom in Tool (magnifier).

Table of Contents

• Topics in the Master Table of Contents are hyperlinked to the appropriate chapter. Use the Hand Tool to click on the words as described above.
• The Table of Contents within each Chapter are hyerlinked to the appropriate page. Use the Hand Tool to click on the page number noted on the right hand side of the page.
• Throughout the document additional hyperlinks are inserted to move to related information within a chapter, e.g. See 5.3.

Chapter Organization

Key Themes

• This section provides a summary of key themes - for the particular topic chapter - that seem to emerge from the relevant documents, practices, studies reviewed and discussions held with several of the stakeholders.
• It should be noted that some of these themes share many commonalties while others contradict one another.
• This only serves to illustrate that the issues are complex and continue to require further development and analysis.

This section provides a series of questions - for the particular topic chapter - again, based on relevant documents, practices, studies reviewed, and discussions held with several of the stakeholders.

• This section provides relevant documents, practices and studies (that could be found in time/resources allotted) from the Yukon, Other Northern Territories, and Other Canadian, USA, and International jurisdictions.
• The documents have been arranged in chronological order (from current to earlier works).
• All documentation is footnoted, and if applicable, hyperlinked to its location on the Internet.
